HC Alkaloid qualified for the final four tournament of the Cup of Macedonia for the first time in its history. Tonight, in the group final that took place in Avtokomanda, HC Alkaloid defeated HC Vardar Negotino and secured placement among the four best teams in this competition.

Coach Kiril Lazarov combined the lineup for today’s final. Several handball players who fought exhausting duels yesterday in the match with Butel Skopje, were spared today, and tonight other players from the roster got a chance to play.

To a certain extent, this contributed to the first half being an evenly scored match, in which, however, HC Alkaloid was the team that controlled the score.

At halftime the score was 17:16 for HC Alkaloid, and all doubts about the final winner disappeared after only five minutes of play in the second half. The HC Negotino team failed to score a goal in the first five and a half minutes, HC Alkaloid scored four and led with 21-16, which was the key turning point in this match.

Therefrom and until the end of the match, HC Alkaloid without any drops in the score, completely controlled all the developments on the field and won with astonishing 36:23.

With seven scored goals, young Damjan Mitev was our team’s best scorer in this match, who for the first time got a chance to play with bigger responsibility and more time. Behind him on the list of scorers was the wing Aleksandar Stojkov with six goals.

HC Alkaloid qualified for the group final taking place in “Avtokomanda” after eliminating the team of HC Butel Skopje tonight in a game with a dramatic ending.

HC Alkaloid celebrated a minimal victory (25-24) with a goal scored from a Zeppelin pass in the last seconds of the game. The scorer of that goal was Martin Serafimov, the most efficient player on the field with 11 scored goals.

Earlier throughout the entire match, our team had control over the score and the lead, although that difference was not high and did not guarantee a smooth finish.

Most of the second half was played goal for goal with HC Butel Skopje leading only once (15-14), and then HC Alkaloid being constantly in the lead, at times with a two-goal difference (20-18, 22-20 ), at times with one goal, and in several instances the result was tied.

In the last minute, HC Alkaloid missed a chance to take the lead, so HC Butel Skopje also had an attack during a draw, but they also failed to score, thus in the last 10 seconds after the time out of coach Kiril Lazarov, HC Alkaloid organized an attack with a Zeppelin pass whereby Serafimov scored the winning goal and placement in the final.

Tomorrow, in the direct match for placement in the Cup of Macedonia F4 tournament, HC Alkaloid will face the team of Vardar Negotino. The team from Negotino eliminated the HC Prilep team (29-28) today.

The final between HC Alkaloid and HC Vardar Negotino will take place tomorrow, (Sunday, 19.3.2023) starting at 18:00 in the “Avtokomanda” sports venue.

HC Multi Essence with record 16 wins out of 16 matches played and 48 points won, completed the first part of the championship in the Macedonian First League. Tonight in the Avtokomanda sports venue, HC Multi Essence achieved maximum results with a convincing triumph over the team of HC Jehona.

All the dilemmas of tonight’s game disappeared already in the first half, in which the good defense and the transition allowed many easy goals, and after 30 minutes of play, HC Multi Essence had an unattainable 24:11 advantage.

The second half was played in the same style. HC Multi Essence used their defense to the maximum to create counter attacks and scoring situations from transition and ended the match with a convincing 46:25 victory.

In the playoff championship that follows immediately after this round, our team will transfer maximum 24 points and start from the first place in the race for one of the two slots leading to the Super League.

HC Alkaloid won a very important victory away at CHC Ohrid in the derby match of the fourth round in the Macedonian Super League playoff championship.

This is the second victory for HC Alkaloid, whereby it rose to the third place in the playoff table with nine points won.

A dynamic match took place in Ohrid, in which the score was constantly close in the first half. The home team started better and led with 4:1 and 5:2, but HC Alkaloid quickly responded and evened the score to 6-6. In these minutes our team dominated and with a total series of 7:0, it reached a 10:6 lead.

The home team got back in the game and responded with a series of 6:0 whereby reaching a 12:10 lead. By the end of the half, the game was tied and at the break, the score was 14:14.

HC Alkaloid had quick and more mature play in the next phase of the match and led with two goals (17:15), and then with a four goal difference (20:16). The home team once again managed to get back into the game and reduced it to 23:24, after which another good period for HC Alkaloid followed, a 7:0 run with which we took the lead with 31:23 and until the end without major problems we kept the lead for the final 32:26 victory.

HC Alkaloid recorded its first playoff victory, after beating Tinex Prolet at home, with a score of 27:21.

HC Alkaloid was the better team on the field and controlled the score throughout the match. The initiative started from the beginning of the match with a 3:0 lead, and the visiting team managed to even the score only once during the match in the tenth minute (4:4).

Right after that, HC Alkaloid materialized their faster game into a new advantage of three goals difference (7:4) and then continuously had an advantage of three to four goals until the end of the half (12:9).

In the second half, our team increased the advantage to seven goals (20:13) and maintained the difference without many fluctuations in the score to the final 27:21 victory.

Martin Serafimov and Mihajlo Mladenovikj were the best scorers in our team with five goals each, and Marko Mitev added four.

In the next round, HC Alkaloid will visit the team of CHC Ohrid for the third time in the playoff season.

HC Alkaloid failed to win points in the away derby in Bitola in the duel with HC Eurofarm Pelister. Our team was better in most of the first half, but the finish belonged to the Bitola team who took the advantage and continued in the same rhythm in the second 30 minutes. Then they managed to keep the lead in the match, although HC Alkaloid had real chances to turn the score around until the end. Our team had the lead for most of the first half (6 : 3, 8 : 6, 10 : 8), but the home team managed to make a turnaround, thus they went on break with a 13 : 12 score.

There was an even battle in the second half in which the home team had a two to three goal advantage, but our team was constantly close and threatened to turn it around. At the very end, HC Alkaloid reduced to minus one (24:25 and 25:26), but the last goal was scored by the home team and the match ended with a score of 27:25.

In the next round, HC Alkaloid will play at home for the first time in the playoff championship, and its opponent will be the team of HC Tinex Prolet.
