HC Alkaloid won a very important victory away at CHC Ohrid in the derby match of the fourth round in the Macedonian Super League playoff championship.

This is the second victory for HC Alkaloid, whereby it rose to the third place in the playoff table with nine points won.

A dynamic match took place in Ohrid, in which the score was constantly close in the first half. The home team started better and led with 4:1 and 5:2, but HC Alkaloid quickly responded and evened the score to 6-6. In these minutes our team dominated and with a total series of 7:0, it reached a 10:6 lead.

The home team got back in the game and responded with a series of 6:0 whereby reaching a 12:10 lead. By the end of the half, the game was tied and at the break, the score was 14:14.

HC Alkaloid had quick and more mature play in the next phase of the match and led with two goals (17:15), and then with a four goal difference (20:16). The home team once again managed to get back into the game and reduced it to 23:24, after which another good period for HC Alkaloid followed, a 7:0 run with which we took the lead with 31:23 and until the end without major problems we kept the lead for the final 32:26 victory.

HC Alkaloid recorded its first playoff victory, after beating Tinex Prolet at home, with a score of 27:21.

HC Alkaloid was the better team on the field and controlled the score throughout the match. The initiative started from the beginning of the match with a 3:0 lead, and the visiting team managed to even the score only once during the match in the tenth minute (4:4).

Right after that, HC Alkaloid materialized their faster game into a new advantage of three goals difference (7:4) and then continuously had an advantage of three to four goals until the end of the half (12:9).

In the second half, our team increased the advantage to seven goals (20:13) and maintained the difference without many fluctuations in the score to the final 27:21 victory.

Martin Serafimov and Mihajlo Mladenovikj were the best scorers in our team with five goals each, and Marko Mitev added four.

In the next round, HC Alkaloid will visit the team of CHC Ohrid for the third time in the playoff season.

HC Alkaloid failed to win points in the away derby in Bitola in the duel with HC Eurofarm Pelister. Our team was better in most of the first half, but the finish belonged to the Bitola team who took the advantage and continued in the same rhythm in the second 30 minutes. Then they managed to keep the lead in the match, although HC Alkaloid had real chances to turn the score around until the end. Our team had the lead for most of the first half (6 : 3, 8 : 6, 10 : 8), but the home team managed to make a turnaround, thus they went on break with a 13 : 12 score.

There was an even battle in the second half in which the home team had a two to three goal advantage, but our team was constantly close and threatened to turn it around. At the very end, HC Alkaloid reduced to minus one (24:25 and 25:26), but the last goal was scored by the home team and the match ended with a score of 27:25.

In the next round, HC Alkaloid will play at home for the first time in the playoff championship, and its opponent will be the team of HC Tinex Prolet.

HC Alkaloid and CHC Tikvesh shared the points from the derby match in the first round of the playoff championship that took place in Kavadarci.

The match was tight at times and tense, with sharp play and many time-outs, and the finish was dramatic.

The home team had a better start to the match and was in the lead during the first part, but at the end of the half, the game of HC Alkaloid came to the fore, thus they went on break with a draw (16-16).

In the second half, HC Alkaloid commanded the score. We led with 21-18 after ten minutes of play and were constantly in the lead, including a two-goal advantage, 31-29 in the last minute.

However, in the dramatic ending, the home team scored two goals and the match ended without a winner.

HC ALKALOID WITH FOUR NEW PLAYERS


HC Alkaloid has completed its team for the next part of the season competing in the playoff championship. There are four new handball players in the composition of HC Alkaloid, providing the team with more options in the game, and thus making it more competitive in the national championship.

The experienced pivot Kostadin Petrov is in the quartet of new HC Alkaloid players. He is 30 years old and 190 centimeters tall. He also has substantial international experience playing for HC Guadalajara from Spain, HC Suceava from Romania, as well as Icelandic HC Tor, from where he joined HC Alkaloid.

Ivan Djonov is another new name in the team in the position of left back. He is 25-year-old, 195 centimeters tall back player, who previously played for the team of HC T. Prolet.

There is also a new handball player in the position of right back, i.e. the young 20-year-old left-handed player David Savrevski, who is joining HC Alkaloid from the Vardar 1961 team.

The 16-year-old, 191 centimeters tall center back Damjan Mitev will also get a chance to progress and develop his talent as part of the first team of HC Alkaloid. He has been playing for the team of HC Multi Essence and with his play he gained the confidence to move to the ranks of HC Alkaloid.

HC ALKALOID RETURNS FROM SERBIA WITH FOUR WINS

HC Alkaloid also completed the final stage of preparations for the playoff season. Last week, the team was in Serbia, where, in addition to physical preparation and training, they also prepared tactically, by playing control matches with teams from the championship of the Republic of Serbia.

HC Alkaloid played four control matches, in which they had four victories, and coach Kiril Lazarov had the opportunity to test all handball players and time their form for the upcoming challenges in the domestic championship.

In the first control match, HC Alkaloid was better than the fall vice-champion of Serbia, the team of HC Dinamo Panchevo (25 : 22); in the second game, they defeated the team of HC Lavovi (36:13); then they defeated HC Crvenka (39:23), and at the last control match they were better than the team of HC UB (35:27).

In fact, the entire phase of the preparations was completed with the last match, thus the team will continue to train in Skopje until the start of the playoffs.

The Macedonian playoff championship is scheduled to start on February 11, and in the first round, HC Alkaloid will be the visiting team against the CHC Tikvesh team in Kavadarci.
