HC Alkaloid booked its place in the Final Four of the Macedonian Cup after delivering two strong performances in today’s quarterfinal group held in the Avtokomanda arena, first defeating HC Radovish and then overcoming HC Prolet 62 in the final.

Earlier in the day, HC Alkaloid dominated the semifinal encounter, cruising to a 41-21 (22-7) victory to secure a spot in the final against the winner of the clash between HC Prolet 62 and HC Macedonia Gjorche Petrov.

The final began with a balanced and competitive opening, as the teams remained close through the first 15 minutes, with the visitors slightly ahead. From that point on, HC Alkaloid gradually imposed control and lived up to its favorite status. The score was last level at 8-8, before HC Alkaloid moved ahead by two goals (10-8) after 20 minutes. By halftime, HC Alkaloid had increased the advantage by one more goal, heading into the break at 15-12.

The second half saw a more assertive start from HC Alkaloid, who quickly pulled away with a 4-0 run in the opening seven minutes to build a 19-12 advantage.

The pace of the match remained measured, with both sides focusing on structured attacks. Both goalkeepers and attackers had their moments, but a number of errors were also evident, while the margin consistently hovered between seven and nine goals.

HC Alkaloid extended its lead to double digits for the first time in the 48th minute (26-16). In the closing stages, the emphasis shifted more toward offensive play, and the match concluded with a dominant 34-18 win for HC Alkaloid.
