HC Alkaloid returned empty-handed from the derby clash played at the Biljanini Izvori arena, where they faced hosts CHC Ohrid.

The match was deadlocked in the opening 15 minutes (6-6), after which the home side seized momentum, capitalizing on a period when HC Alkaloid were reduced to a man down, scoring a series of four goals to pull away to a 10-6 advantage.

That proved to be the turning point of the game, as it was the only phase in which one side managed to open up a clear gap.

The halftime score stood at 17-11, with HC Alkaloid also suffering a major blow after Marko Stojkovic received a straight red card in the closing moments of the first half.

In the second half, HC Alkaloid responded quickly, slicing two goals off the deficit and by the 45th minute were once again firmly in contention for points (20-22). In the final stretch, however, they came up empty on several key chances, allowing the home team to score with relative ease and re-establish a lead sufficient to secure the points.
